Located in a private country club community, and currently on the market for $2,395,000, Grande Cypress is a single story luxury home in Quail West that pays tribute to both old and new, traditional and contemporary, in a clean, classic, timeless way. Incorporating the relaxed milieu of beachside living with the sleek refinement of an upscale resort lifestyle, it blends the best of both worlds for a distinct sophistication that is fresh, invigorating and full of life.
Elongated windows, tile roof, covered entry, turret tower, custom-designed front door, and smooth sand-colored stucco exterior, all contribute to a pleasing balance between varying elements that is streamlined and clean. “The architectural styling in our market place used to be very heavy Mediterrean-Tuscan with Gothic tones, and this home has shifted away from that into a design defined by sleek styling, straight lines, high quality materials, exceptional value, and an overall updated appeal,” explains Bill Spinelli, President/Owner of Titan Homes, LLC.
To that end, the award-winning team at Cinnabar Design collaborated with Titan Homes to create architectural details and backgrounds that are more transitional in style. The Cinnabar team fashioned their vision around a popular cluster of hamlets located on the east end of Long Island, New York, known for a way of life that is enduring, effortless and exclusive. “We were inspired by the simple grace and understated luxury of the Hamptons, and translated it into the grandeur that exemplifies the Naples lifestyle,” says Diana Hall, Partner and Principal of Cinnabar Design. Laurie Walter, Co-Partner and Principal, agrees, “Our purpose was to design a home that reflects the casual elegance that this community embodies.”
The interior is entirely finished in varying tones of “taupey grey” for a monochromatic effect that reflects a soothing, calm serenity while serving as a lovely backdrop to what can only be described as a masterpiece. Upon entry, one is immediately awe-struck by a spectacular 20-foot-high dining room rotunda located to the right of the front foyer. Showcasing a custom-designed vaulted-beam ceiling, and leather-finished strie-marble floor in a concentric herringbone pattern that mimics hardwood, the effect is breathtaking. An abundance of windows provides plenty of natural light while also accentuating the room’s height. A weathered-wood Lillian August dining table with a textured iron base, classic chairs in a dune finish with nail-head detail, and 42-inch Foucault-inspired chandelier in a brushed silver leaf, complete the look for a striking effect.
In the living room, a remarkable fireplace clad in a suede-finished quartzite with a faux-cerused oak mantel, serves as a stunning focal point. Wall niches on either side not only reflect the same pattern as seen in the coffered ceiling, but serve to anchor the space by creating a satisfying symmetry. “The architectural details are what give the Grande Cypress model that ‘grand’ presence that make this home so unique and unforgettable,” explains Elizabeth Gonzalez, Designer, Cinnabar Design. A custom designed coffee table in a brushed silver leaf finish, gorgeous hand-knotted wool area rug in a stylized mineral-toned damask pattern, and graceful chandelier with crystal teardrops, add to the room’s magnetic allure.
Serving as the daily social centerpiece of the home, the kitchen is executed to perfection. Large, diagonally-set porcelain tile flooring, cream glazed-finished cabinetry, brushed-satin nickel hardware, quartzite countertops and a porcelain subway tile backsplash, come together seamlessly for an atmosphere that is upscale but homey. Ceiling-high glass fishtail mullion doors, retro-style pendant lights, an oversized espresso-stained maple center island with a large farmer’s sink, and disguised double refrigerator, all contribute to an inspired design where functionality and aesthetic appeal blend as one.
The impressive wine room is another eye-catching addition that not only serves as an exciting conversation piece, but is as useful as it is attractive. With 12-foot-high ceilings, a herringbone-patterned travertine floor, 400-bottle capacity, and large display window, it is a wine enthusiast’s dream come true.
Making the open-concept living area even more inviting is a spacious family room connected to the kitchen, which opens out to the backyard deck and pool. With an intriguing “X-Y-Z-patterned” coffered ceiling, driftwood-gray built-in, and relaxed, casual seating, this space is generous enough to host a large reception, while still maintaining an air of intimacy appropriate for informal gatherings.
Retiring to the study, one cannot help but admire the handsome presentation. Walls dressed in a geometric wood panel design with ostrich patterned wallpaper, cerused oak floors, and beamed tray ceiling, come together for a warm, rich, erudite ambiance. A two-toned bamboo area rug, slate grey built-in, and rustic oak-finished desk, make for an arresting result. Opening out to a private terrace, lush foliage surrounds, and captivating golf course views abound.
As much as the library instills a sense of exploration and debate, the master bedroom suite evokes a mood of quietude and tranquility. While another extraordinary ceiling treatment draws the eyes upward, a damask-patterned Masland carpet adds warmth and texture underfoot. Two mirrored chests with matching mercury glass lamps, a convex sunburst mirror, a pair of cushy chairs in an ikat fabric, and striking champagne-finished drum pendant chandelier, all serve to complement a space that is lavish yet comfortable.
Presented in a chic colonnade gray and traditionally inspired, the master bath is an entrancing retreat. Featuring Carrera marble flooring and countertops, a free-standing Signature Hardware soaking tub, double vanity with inset doors, large walk-in shower with mosaic inlay, and charming wainscoting treatment, it embodies an engaging gracefulness that is simple and classic.
The covered lanai, pool, spa, and patio area offers over 3000 square feet of outdoor living space flawlessly integrated with the interior. Featuring large formatted chiseled Turkish travertine stone in an Ashlar pattern, saltwater pool with glass mosaic, an eight-person spa with a splash level and waterfall, and outdoor kitchen and grill, it serves as a prime example of what open concept living is all about. “Our purpose was to strategically find a balance between tradition and innovation,” explains Walter. “And harmoniously unify the two into one,” concludes Hall. Mission accomplished.
