Antiques:
History in Your Home

Years ago when people were moving to Southwest Florida, they moved into a world of coral pinks and seafoam greens. Furniture from their Northern home was considered to be too dark and heavy for Florida. Through the years, the misconception that you had to dispose of your old possessions and buy new ones to furnish your home here has been laid to rest. In fact, more and more people search out antiques to furnish their homes, becoming serious collectors along the way.
Many homeowners have special pieces of furniture, art, silver, or other objects that have special value to them because they were handed down in their families from generation to generation. Although they may call their prize possessions antiques, technically speaking, an antique is an object that is more than 100 years old.
Antique pieces are rich in history. Go antiquing and expand your world.
