La Dolce Vita

Views, views, views and more views. Florida Lifestyle Homes of Fort Myers, Inc.’s newest model, the Villa Dolce, boasts spectacular views from every room. Located in Naples’ exclusive Quail West community, the Mediterranean-inspired home, with its extensive architectural detailing and impressive landscaping is captivating and inviting.

Intricately patterned walkways and pristine gardens pave the way toward the front entrance, which is comprised of four spiral columns and three arched openings. To the left, a neat path leads to a private courtyard that is adorned with a charming fountain. A three-car garage is discretely hidden from view.

Visible through the double glass and mahogany entry doors, the grandiose foyer, with its ornately designed and hand-painted double-tiered ceiling, is a welcoming sight. From the entry doors to the foyer, to the subsequent outdoor fountains and “lazy river” water feature, the room is positioned to capitalize upon the ensuing views.
Upon entering the home, it is evident that the builder spared no expense when planning the interiors and extensive detailing. Each room is spatially divided by a compilation of interestingly shaped ceilings. Teresa Rowden of Blue Water Faux was commissioned to provide myriad decorative finishes and faux effects to many of the ceilings and several of the rooms.

To the left of the foyer, a gallery with an ornately crackled and glazed barrel ceiling divides the formal living room and dining area. The double-tiered and crowned ceiling design in both the dining and living rooms is expertly executed.

Nancy Kimbrough of Robb & Stucky designed the interiors, which are tasteful and elegant. The adjacent living and dining rooms, with their sophisticated furnishings, are designed to complement one another and to draw attention to the home’s stunning finishes, which include extensive custom millwork and elegantly curved window casements.

The vast family room, gourmet kitchen and breakfast café 4 open up directly onto the outdoor living area and overwhelmingly large pool deck. There is also a private courtyard at the far end of the family room, which serves as a quiet patio for the two guest suites that are located in this part of the home.

The fully integrated kitchen is, without a doubt, a food aficionado’s sanctuary. The darkly stained, European styled, solid maple cabinets, some of which are fronted with seeded glass panels, complement the room’s rich tan and brown-hued granite countertops and oversized center island. With the exception of the Asko dishwashing system, the kitchen comes equipped with a complete stainless appliance package from Viking.

The family room, with its custom designed entertainment center and comfortable seating arrangement, is positioned close to the kitchen, making the large space perfect for entertaining and relaxing.

The transition between the indoors and outdoors is seamless. An expansive wall of sliding glass doors opens up onto the covered lanai, which boasts a fabulous summer kitchen, gas fireplace and enough room for several seating and entertaining venues. There is also a separate covered lanai just outside of the formal living room.

The beauty of the pool area is that it’s not screened-in, thus allowing for the most amazing panoramic lake and golf course views imaginable. The pool’s infinity edge seemingly spills into the large lake that is just beyond the property line. Water gently flows down a series of three spillovers from the lazy river fountain into the pool. Additionally, there are two fountains on either side of the pool, as well as a center spa that looks out onto the fairway.

Each of the three delightfully designed guest rooms has a spacious private bath and large walk-in closet. Additionally, all three rooms have access to private courtyards, which are individually designed and include a decorative wall fountain.

To the right of the foyer, the builder fashioned a quiet corner of the home for the study and powder room. The study, with its bay shaped windows, faces the front walkways and gardens creating a quiet alcove that’s perfect for an at home office.

The large master suite occupies an entire wing of the home and has private access to the pool and spa through a set of French doors. The suite also includes two walk-in closets, his-and-hers water closets and a well-appointed morning kitchen. Adding to the room’s ambiance is the large, sunshine-infused sitting area that extends beyond the main sleeping area.

According to Bill Ennen, president of Florida Lifestyle Homes, “It’s not the number of homes we build, but the quality of construction in those homes that we care about the most. We strive to give all of our customers ‘white glove’ 4 service, regardless of the scope of the project, and to build what they want, within their individual budget.”
