Boater’s Dream Aqua at Pelican Isle Yacht Club, he says, is the crowning achievement in the company’s ultra upscale portfolio and his 30-plus years as a developer. The amenities and concierge service will leave residents, many of whom are boating enthusiasts with yachts, wanting for nothing. With unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico, a private yacht harbor with an active yacht club community and price tags that start at $2 million, Aqua is Naples’ leading high-rise in the luxury market. It’s currently the only condominium tower under construction in Collier County. Oelschlaeger’s claim says a lot about Aqua and its future residents. Aqua’s completion is still two years away, and the 80-residence community is already filling a niche among buyers looking for a new level of amenities and service. “During the 20 years I’ve been doing business in Naples, buyers expectations have evolved and they want upscale, exclusive amenities.” Aqua, poised on 10.5 acres on a private yacht harbor with direct gulf access delivers an impressive menu of amenities – from 29 private slips and yacht club membership plus a rooftop garden and sky lounge for Gulf and sunset viewing and guest cottages for entertaining. The North Tower offers 48 residences, and buyers are enjoying immediate equity membership to Pelican Isle Yacht Club. “They can immediately start enjoying the amenities and events at the club, get to know the other members, and participate in the club’s boating excursions,” Oelschlaeger said. The 400-plus-member yacht club offers casual and fine dining prepared by a certified master chef, a full social calendar, hourly water shuttle service to the beaches of Delnor-Wiggins Park, and cocktail cruises several evenings each week. The club also has a fleet of canoes and kayaks, ideal for exploring the quiet waters of the Cocohatchee River. Golfers will also find the best of both worlds, as members enjoy reciprocal memberships at some of the area’s private golf clubs. Boating facilities at Aqua also include a ship’s store and five private, air-conditioned and well-appointed marina cabanas. Aqua’s 29 slips can accommodate boats up to 55 feet in length. Aqua’s biggest attraction is its proximity to the Gulf; measured in minutes (5), not miles. The marina, says Oelschlaeger, “is one of the last locations available in Naples with direct boating access to the Gulf of Mexico.” Construction of the 10-story North Tower began in late 2006, and Aqua is expected to welcome its first residents in the summer of 2008. Amenities include a 20-seat theater, a grand salon with caterer’s kitchen, a cigar lounge, and a sprawling fitness center, complete with spa treatment rooms, steam rooms, saunas, and an aerobics studio. Outside, Aqua offers a resort-style pool and spa. Guest cottages, containing a full bathroom, kitchenette, great room and a private terrace are also available for purchase. One buyer plans to use his cottage as a home office, says Oelschlaeger. Full-time concierge service completes the resort lifestyle, with staff ready to handle any request, whether scheduling private water taxi service, accepting dry cleaning, or making dinner reservations. “Most of our buyers travel extensively and are accustomed to five-star living,” says Oelschlaeger. Aqua’s three- and four-bedroom homes range from 3,500 square feet of living area to penthouses with more than 6,000 square feet and prices up to $6 million. Two of Aqua’s penthouses have two stories with a private rooftop garden. Aqua’s main sales gallery is located at 13240 Tamiami Trail N., next to EVOO Bistro, and an onsite sales center located at 13635 Vanderbilt Drive. The Bentley Sales Group is Aqua’s exclusive real estate broker.
