Everyday Luxury – Extraordinary Living

In Florida’s Gulf Coast, discover The Lake Club, the most private village in the highly acclaimed master-planned community of Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton, Florida. This award-winning 8,500 acre community has eight of the finest residential neighborhoods, recreational facilities and commercial areas surrounded by the best of Florida’s natural landscape. As a resident in Southwest Florida’s premier community, you will enjoy living just minutes from restaurants, schools, shops, boutiques, athletic and health centers, the Sarasota Polo Club, a hospital and six world-class golf courses.

The Lake Club, complete with its own private roads and controlled access gates, is a unique oasis within the vibrant, flourishing and self-contained master-planned community of Lakewood Ranch. Recently honored with the coveted “Green” Aurora Award, The Lake Club is surrounded by more than 100 miles of trails and sidewalks, protected preserve areas, tree-lined streets, large scenic lakes and lushly appointed parks. Twelve million dollars worth of landscaping and hardscaping greet homeowners and guests to the first phase of The Lake Club. Cobblestone bridges, a vineyard, burbling fountains, and waterways transport owners from Southwest Florida to the Tuscan countryside.

The first phase of this 1,500-acre village encompasses 150 estate homes that will be built to exacting detail by eight local builders, in addition to two new builders from Naples. Each home site ranges in area from one quarter of an acre to one-and-a-half acres with a minimum of 2,800 square feet for the smaller lots. Prices for home sites and homes begin at $1 million.

Homeowners are not limited to the one style of architecture that can be prevalent in other communities. Ten builders: Anchor Builders, John Cannon Homes, Todd Johnston Homes, London Bay Homes, Landmark Development Group, Peregrine Homes, Pruett Builders, Marc Rutenberg Homes, Westwater Construction, and Lee Wetherington Homes offer ten distinct home designs in The Lake Club’s Showcase Circle, but homeowners have many other choices.

“We encourage a lot of diversity in architecture here,” says Tom Danahy, president of LWR Communities LLC, the developer of The Lake Club. “As long as they meet the architectural guidelines, they have quite a bit of freedom. We do know that no two homes of the same style will be next to each other. You won’t see two Spanish Mediterranean homes, for example, adjacent to each other here.”

Classic styles of architecture are evident in the Showcase Homes. Mediterranean, French Country, English Estate, Neoclassical, West Indies, Spanish Mediterranean and French are on display, along with tantalizing interiors and spectacular floor plans.

At The Lake Club, homes are appointed with the newest amenities, including temperature-controlled wine rooms, elaborate outdoor kitchens, home theatres, elevators and cost-efficient, energy-saving “green” features inside and out.

The centerpiece of The Lake Club is the Tuscan-inspired 16,000 square foot multi-purpose Clubhouse. Sitting on the highest point of The Lake Club, the $10 million Clubhouse is designed to integrate seamlessly into the surrounding area, while providing spectacular views of the adjacent lake.

The Clubhouse includes an upper level Grande Room (for meetings, private parties or dinner), lounge, a card and game room, a billiard room, a conference room, an open patio and a fully-equipped catering kitchen.

The lower level includes a luxurious day spa, locker rooms with sauna and steam facilities, a yoga studio, a state-of-the-art fitness center and small boat storage. The Clubhouse overlooks two heated pools on a beautiful terrace. While not situated on a golf course, The Lake Club is surrounded by five private and semi-private clubs, all of which are within a five-minute drive.

With its focus on the environment, LWR Communities is proud to be leading the nation in the use of green building standards.

“Green building is very important to Lakewood Ranch,” says Tom Howe, vice president of project management for LWR Communities, LLC. “We are the largest green certified community in the country. All new neighborhoods in Lakewood Ranch meet the standards established by The Florida Green Building Coalition for homes and landscapes.”

In keeping with that commitment to green building, all homes in The Lake Club will be certified green. In fact, most of The Lake Club builders have long had a commitment to building beyond green standards.

Choose your own estate-sized lot and bring your dream home to life in the luxurious style you deserve at The Lake Club at Lakewood Ranch.

The Lake Club is located four miles east of I-75 on University Parkway in the heart of Lakewood Ranch in Manatee County.
