The Best
Koogler Homes, Inc.
has a long reputation as an innovative luxury home builder
and their Nautilus I model home in Cape Coral incorporates
all of the quality details which have become their trademark.
The model has garnered the company numerous awards, including
the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association’s
Best Overall Home award.
At 4,137 square
feet, the Mediterranean-inspired, two-story three-bedroom,
three-bath home offers an abundance of living space, while
every room offers water views, giving the generous proportions
of the home a spacious feel. The home further offers two
half-baths, one which acts as a pool bath, while the second
half-bath is located off of the upstairs game room. Some
of the finer details of the home include inlaid ceramic
tile floors; a two-story cast stone fireplace; a two-story
hand painted custom mural; rich woods such as pecky cypress
throughout the home’s ceilings, walls, custom cabinetry
and plantation shutters; integrated technology for sound,
lighting, security and video; and wrought iron appointments
throughout.
Each of Koogler
Homes’ residences is unique, with well-thought-out
details and appointments. Old World elements are incorporated
throughout and offer gracious living coupled with state-of-the-art
technology.
This attention to detail is evident upon walking into the
impressive foyer, which offers long views through to the
living room. The creamy tumbled stone floors and ornately-turned
wrought iron details in the staircase banister and impressive
chandelier set the stage for the hand-painted mural on the
twenty-foot staircase wall that depicts an Old World Italian
scene. A gracious grand piano lends charm to the foyer and
a wine bar is cleverly located beneath the stairs.
In the formal
dining room, the perfect setting for gracious entertaining,
an abundance of arch work featuring keystone details gives
the space the same Old World feel that continues throughout
the home. The walls and ceilings have been faux finished
and the ceiling is also textured. A large ornate dark wood
dining table sits beneath a tray ceiling, boasting decorative
wood moulding details. A richly wrought iron chandelier
casts a warm glow upon the table below.
The state-of-the-art
kitchen boasts such Old World features as distressed maple
cabinetry that affords storage space, a large walk-in pantry,
a convenient center island and generous counter space. The
countertops are done in luminous black granite while the
backsplashes feature black and beige tile detail and lend
a visual punch to the space. Leather bar stools offer a
comfortable spot from which family and friends can join
the culinary preparations.
The nearby family
room features a large custom built-in entertainment center
done in distressed maple that also includes room for a display
area, while the ninety-degree sliding pocket doors bring
the outdoors in and imbue the spacious room with light.
A long black leather sofa provides comfortable seating and
the upholstered ottoman provides further seating or can
be used as a coffee table. The arches that are the home’s
trademark appear here at the windows.
The truly spacious
master suite features his-and-hers walk in-closets and a
double tray ceiling detailed with wide crown moulding is
complete with specialty lighting. The walls in this elegant
retreat have been faux finished in a mauve tone, as is the
textured ceiling, and a private lanai can be accessed through
elegant French doors. The bed features ornately carved head
and footboards and is covered in a custom bedspread done
in a rich purple satin. In the sitting area, two unique
leather lounge chairs incorporate the same fabric in a strip
of fabric that runs through the length of the chairs.
In the sumptuous
master bath, the honey maple cabinetry features multi-colored
granite tops in warm green and brown tones. The walk-in
shower incorporates multiple showerheads and detailed tile
work that features a custom design wrought in small black
and green chicklet tiles. The jetted garden tub is the focal
point of the room and features an impressive granite surround
that matches the counter tops. The walls have been faux
finished in honeyed brown tones and wrought iron accents
appear in the lighting fixtures and graceful vanity chair.
The second level
of the home offers a second master suite and a guest bedroom,
(each with their own bathroom,) a complete game room, and
a spacious sun deck that runs across the entire rear portion
of the residence. The sun deck can be accessed through French
door leading from either the game room or the second master
suite. In addition, there is a spacious carpeted exercise
room off of the game room, featuring views through a huge
picture window, as well as a mirrored wall, and a television.
The spacious
game room features distressed hardwood floors, a pecky cypress
beamed ceiling and wainscoting, and a built-in bar that
offers a refrigerator, microwave, sink and stove. The room
is large enough to further boast four flat screen televisions,
a carved wooden pool table and a card table.
An upstairs guest
bath incorporates the inspired use of color and features
tones of purple, white and black. The deep purple walls
are complimented by the dramatic tile treatment surrounding
the vanity mirror. The vanity itself has been fashioned
from an antique dresser and lends further charm to the whimsical
room.
The home includes
gracious elements for outdoor entertainment, including a
full summer kitchen with a refrigerator, a decorative marble
gas fireplace and built-in grill. The arched niche above
the grill features a custom designed tile medallion, while
the ceiling is detailed with pecky cypress. The large lagoon
pool incorporates Tennessee moss stone and a raised spa
that includes a spill over waterfall.
The Nautilus I
is an elegant family home with architectural details and
Old World elements that lend it an estate home feel. Whether
welcoming guests for an evening of sophisticated entertaining
or gathering family around the elegant outdoor living area
for an al fresco luncheon, the Nautilus I by Koogler Homes
offers every element necessary to enjoy the Florida lifestyle.
