Frey & Son’s
five-bedroom, two-story Marisol residence is located in
the Quarry Shores section in the Quarry in North Naples,
a stunning new neighborhood that sweeps around a 320-acre
lake carved from solid limestone, from which the home takes
some of its design elements.
With 4,830 square
foot of living space under air, the Marisol residence is
based upon an Andalusian design, complete with a bell tower
feature that is rich in timeless elegance. The front entry
features a paver driveway with keystone marble around the
covered front entrance, garage and portions of the front
elevation.
The grand foyer,
which offers visitors views of the lake, features 14-foot
ceilings and a faux painted tray ceiling and Tuscany Ivory
marble floors which appear throughout the residence.
The elegant living
room boasts unique architectural details, including a stunning
vaulted ceiling and an eight-foot, mitered glass picture
window offering long lake views. The furnishings are at
once welcoming and classic, with an overstuffed sofa covered
in gold fabric. On the wall facing the sofa is yet another
one-of-a-kind design element - a custom-made, granite-topped
bar flanked by impressive columns that houses a refrigerator
and wine cooler. The wall behind the bar features a hand-painted
mural depicting the Tuscan mountainside.
The generous master
suite is complete with its own retreat area and enjoys views
through a three-panel, mitered glass window. An elegant
mahogany bed with a traditional carved headboard stands
within an alcove. The room also features a tray ceiling
with a torn paper faux finish and built-in bookcases. At
the windows are silk balloon valences done in the same fabric
which appears on the bedspread. The ornate wooden bench
at the foot of the bed is covered in a magnificent woven
fabric that incorporates red, gold and greens tones.
The mahogany has
been carried through to the sumptuous master bath and appears
at the his-and-hers vanities and in the tub surround. Both
the vanities and tub surround feature Almendra marble. The
space also offers a full walk-in shower with multiple showerheads
and a roomy walk-in closet. The wallpaper is subtly striped
in shades of gold and is perfectly complimented by the rich
silk swags at the window above the bathtub.
The study features
a pecan wood floor and magnificent custom cherry stained
built-in bookcases. A couch covered in off-white chenille
is inviting, while from behind the handsome mahogany desk
one is able to look out through the French doors to the
lanai and beyond.
The family room
offers a built-in entertainment center that houses a flat
screen plasma television and an impressive 12-foot beamed
ceiling with copper faux elements between the warm chestnut
colored beams. Overstuffed seating, including a sofa and
a chair-and-half with ottoman, complement the room and invite
visitors into the space. A maroon area rug with gold squares
lends the perfect finishing touch to the room.
Both the kitchen
and the café dining area, with its glass wall, both
enjoy views from the 90-degree disappearing sliding glass
doors that bring the outside in and lend the spaces an airy
feel. The kitchen features a tray ceiling, recessed lighting
and custom made solid wood cabinetry, complete with dove-tailed,
full extension wood drawers with an auto-close feature.
A center island finished in brushed white paint, a complete
stainless steel appliance package, custom range hood and
granite tops makes this a kitchen that is as user-friendly
as well as architecturally impressive.
There are two
guest suites with private baths on this side of the home.
The guest suite featured here offers a tray ceiling with
trim moulding detail. The generous dimensions of the room
perfectly frame the elegant antique furnishings, which include
a dressing table with an ornate triple mirror and an antique
mahogany bed covered in a custom-made gold bedspread.
The staircase
to the second floor offers staggered cathedral window views
and leads up to the recreation/theater room with its state-of-the-art
audio visual system. Also on this level are two guest bedrooms
with private baths. Completing the second floor is large
covered balcony that captures stunning views of the pool
and lake below.
The recreation/theater
room offers a large picture window, providing lake views.
The built-in entertainment center holds a plasma television,
while a full poker/card/game table offers further entertainment
options. A large couch and chair with ottoman completes
the seating in this room, which also boasts ten-foot ceilings.
Nearby, the generous dimensions of the covered balcony offer
an outdoor seating area with further lake views.
At the back of
