Cannon Homes is pleased to present the latest masterpiece
of design and elegance in The Kiah. This three-bedroom,
three-and-a-half bath home is located in La Cantera, the
final neighborhood to be built in The Country Club at Lakewood
Ranch.
John Cannon Home’s
signature attention to detail is evident from the moment
one enters the driveway. Paver stones lead gracefully to
the columned flanked entryway where double wood and glass
doors welcome visitors into the home. Upon entering the
foyer, amber glass tile accents the almond 18 x 18 inch
travertine styled tile set on the diagonal. Soaring sixteen-foot
ceilings give the home an airy, yet welcoming, atmosphere.
To the right of the foyer, the formal dining room is painted
wickerwork, with an eggshell finish. The soaring, arched
windows are accented with copper raw silk window coverings.

the same color as the dining room. The walls are also complemented
by crown moulding detailing that forms a frame for the painting
over the sofa. Soft dusk brown raw silk draperies adorn
the double French doors that lead to the outdoor living
space.
Off the living
area and through glass and wood double doors is the owner’s
study. This handsomely appointed room boasts triple arched
windows that allow in an abundance of natural light and
is accented by burnished gold window treatments. Rich hardwood
cherry flooring complements the olive walls. An arched niche
houses built-in cherry cabinetry with triple bookcases providing
ample storage. A leather inlaid desk adds stateliness to
the room.
The master suite
is a pure luxurious retreat. Upon entering the vestibule,
an art niche houses offers the perfect focal point for a
favorite painting or family portrait. To the left is the
master bath, which boasts a dramatic chandelier and a marble
topped cherry island which provides additional storage.
Nova Bell 18 inch x 18 inch tile in Canyon Sunset is accented
by 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch Rojo Allicante Mosaic tile. The deep
jetted whirlpool tub is nestled in a column flanked alcove
that overlooks the front of the property. A large walk-in
glass shower houses two shower heads. His-and-hers vanities
with cherry cabinets and glass fronted towel towers complete
the master bath. His-and-hers walk-in closets line the short
hallway to the master bedroom as travertine-styled tile
gives way to plush carpeting in the master bedroom. An impressive
suede upholstered sleigh bed covered in luxurious cream
colored bed linens provides the perfect retreat at the end
of the day. A sitting area with comfortable chairs is nestled
into a bay window that overlooks the pool and the preserve
behind the home. Cream silk draperies are topped by a floral
valance which frames the view of the outdoors.
As the kitchen
is often said to be the heart of the home, the Kiah is sure

breakfast nook. A comfortable collection of furnishings
provides a comfortable, yet elegant, sitting area. A double
tray ceiling is accented by crown moulding. A built-in alcove
houses a credenza with screened door fronts to conceal various
electronic components. A flat panel television is hung above
the credenza.
One of the most
impressive areas of the home is the disappearing wall in
the family room. Framed by dusk brown raw silk coverings,
these sliding doors open completely to lead out onto the
rear lanai and pool area, adding additional outdoor living
space. The rear lanai boasts a double sided fireplace, and
an outdoor kitchen that includes a gas grill, a prep sink
and a mini refrigerator. Granite counters and wood cabinetry
complete the outdoor kitchen.
Also opening to

Kiah has two walls of windows covered with plantation shutters

furniture. The textured wall area painted in Totally Tan,
in an eggshell finish, and the barback wall is painted in
rich Peacock Plume. The wet bar includes a wine chiller,

The Kiah, meaning
"beautiful place" in Aborigine, includes two additional
en-suite bedrooms, each richly appointed; a spacious laundry
room with GE appliances, a powder room, and a three-car
