A Brighter Option

The kitchen is the focal point, the gathering place for the home, and according to many real estate experts, can make or break the purchase of a home. For many years, kitchens have followed a traditional path in décor, but Lube of Sarasota offers homeowners another, brighter option when designing a kitchen. Known for it’s use of high-tech materials and bold, “look at me” color palates, Lube is ready to turn boring design on its ear with eye-popping color and space-saving technology.

No matter what is in your dream kitchen, Lube of Sarasota is waiting to fulfill your vision and maybe give you some fresh ideas. Lube (pronounced Loo-BAY) of Sarasota is the brainchild of Jim Bridges. Well-known for his real estate development company, Jebco Ventures, Inc., Bridges is the force behind Vista Bay and The Phoenix on Golden Gate Point, where Bridges showcased the cabinets in each of the unit’s kitchens.

“The kitchen has really become the focal point of the home,” Bridges says. In 2002, he established Italian Cabinetry Designs, a high-end showroom designed to showcase quality Italian cabinetry, fixtures as well as accessories. In 2005, Bridges partnered with Cucine Lube from Italy and renamed the company Lube of Sarasota. Cucine Lube, located in the central Italian town of Treia, is the largest cabinet manufacturer in Italy, producing more than 300 kitchens per day. This streamlined manufacturing process gives Lube of Sarasota a fairly quick delivery time of six to nine weeks.

The most striking feature of Lube cabinetry is the bold use of color. “For a long time, people were afraid to use color,” says Sarah Gossett, general manager. “Sarasota is fun, modern town and people now are wanting to be different.”

When a client walks into the brand new showroom at 2628 17th Street in Sarasota, they are greeted with a riot of color and finishes. A diversity of finishes gives a client more choices. Lube’s cabinets come in several finishes including lacquer, wood, thermafoil and a new addition, glass, which can be painted to meet the client’s expectations.

Not only does Lube of Sarasota specialize in kitchens, Lube cabinetry can be ordered to house an entertainment center, to spice up a bland bathroom or to add a dramatic flair to a bedroom. In addition, clients will be able to experience ‘one stop shopping’ at Lube says Sarah Gossett, general manager. “Not only do we sell cabinets, we are also able to provide fixtures, appliances such as Kitchen Aid, Sub-Zero, Wolf, Fisher & Paykel and Whirlpool, as well as countertops in a variety of styles. We also have a contractor on staff to assist the clients,” she continues. “When clients come in, they are able to see various versions of our kitchens on flat-paneled monitors placed throughout the showroom and we have 24 vignettes showcasing the different styles and colors of cabinets. We have one of the only fully working kitchens where local chefs can come in and set up demos and it is a place where parties can be hosted.”

Gossett adds, “We have full design services as well, where clients can come in or we can go to their homes and we don’t charge anything extra for that service.”

Not only can Lube of Sarasota outfit your kitchen with cabinetry, they can also spice up a laundry room by installing colorful cabinetry that not only looks great, but also provides extra storage that is much needed in Florida. Kick your office up a notch by installing Lube Cabinetry that looks fabulous, and also gives the office a more streamlined and organized look. Lube of Sarasota can design a workspace that works in both a home office as well as a commercial office.

Gossett shows off the ‘wow room’, a room where clients can see the bells and whistles that are offered. From pull-out pantries that maximize smaller spaces to magic corners that makes use of an otherwise dead space in the kitchen, to drawers with organizers for 4 everything from silverware to chef’s knives, Lube of Sarasota gives a fresh approach to the traditional kitchen.

In recognition of the quality of Lube Italian Cabinetry, Bridges and his sales team has recently been tapped to provide kitchens for Sea Castle, a new condominium on Siesta Key, as well as City Place, Pineapple Square and Citrus Square in downtown Sarasota.

The Sarasota showroom is the flagship store for Cucine Lube in the United States. Bridges will open the Atlanta showroom this month with showrooms to follow in Raleigh and Chicago.

The look of traditional kitchens is changing with Lube of Sarasota on the cutting-edge of kitchen design. Whether your vision is one of a more traditional approach, one of sleek contemporary lines, or a mixture of both, the sales staff at Lube of Sarasota is ready to bring your vision to life.
